DESIGN PROCESS AT AVANT GARDENING AND LANDSCAPING
Our design process starts with assessing your needs. With a thorough evaluation of your situation, we develop some of the most efficient, eye-catching and inspirational design ideas and landscaping solutions.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Our design process begins with a consultation. One of our experienced designers will meet with you on site to discuss your project. Things to consider and discuss at this meeting may include:
- How do you want to use your outdoor space?
- What is your ultimate goal?
- Do you want space for entertaining?
- Would you like a place where children can play?
- Are there views that you want to enhance or screen?
- What is your desire or capacity for garden maintenance?
- What is your budget and timeline?
After the initial consultation, we will prepare an estimate for your project. Some projects proceed directly from the estimate. Other projects may require additional design work and revisions to meet your goals. After receipt of a signed contract and down payment, your project will be scheduled.
We can handle the entire permitting process so that you can rest assured your project meets all the criteria required by local government.
GRADING & STORM WATER MANAGEMENT
Managing storm water and grading is the first thing to consider in any landscape project. Directing water runoff helps limit erosion, and protects both buildings and water quality. We incorporate design ideas that encourage infiltration rather than runoff.
Avant is proud to have solved many difficult and sensitive drainage problems using ecologically effective methods. These ensure long-term storm water management, an essential response to climate change. Our solutions include rain gardens, bio filtration and wetland filters, green roofs, permeable pavers, and rainwater harvesting. Look to us as a leader in both preventing and finding solutions to all your drainage concerns.
At Avant, our landscape designs are created to remain timeless, so that you can enjoy your garden well into the future. We also incorporate maintenance requirements needed going forward to give you the best looking landscape plan with as little upkeep as possible.
